Podcasts are a fun way to present lessons to students. I
work with high school students who struggle with reading and writing skills,
and I always worry about how much they achieve when I am out sick or training.
I think podcasts are the perfect solution. I can have a set of premade podcasts
that will be on various topics ready for the day or days I am out of the
classroom. Students can then access them on the class website. The fact that I
am still “there” and in control of the lesson makes the students feel more
accountable. Also, I hope it will influence their behavior as well.
